Before constructing a home or a building, soil test is an important step. Soil carries the lion’s
share of weight of the infrastructure. So, to have an idea about the weight carrying capacity and
other characteristics of the soil, soil test is needed to be performed. For a safe and secured
infrastructure, soil test must be performed by an expert engineer.
There is a popular misconception that if the quality of the soil from the surrounding lands are
good, then the soil from the intended land will also be of good quality. The quality of the soil may
vary among nearby lands.

measurement of the foundation.
